Winter is here and the days are getting colder. This is a perfect time to bundle up and start hitting some of those trails. Lake Youngs Trail is a well known trail in the Fairwood area. The trail follows the Lake Youngs Resevoir and connects up with the Soos Creek Trail. There are hills but the trail is supposed to be firm and mostly mud-free. We'll start with a distance of 4 miles as an out and back and we can decide as we go along if we want to go further.
The Lake Youngs Trailhead is just off of Petrovitsky near the Trovitsky Park community and Northwood Jr. High. Head east on Petrovitsky Blvd. past Petrovitsky Park and make a right onto Old Petrovitsky Road (there is a church on the corner) and follow the road back to the parking lot. There is a restroom and the trailhead is marked.
We'll meet in the parking lot. Text me at 425-243-2050 if you are going to be late.
